311 Home Inspection is a family company based out of Beaumont, CA it was founded in 2021 when Joe Torrez was looking at ways to provide a new way of helping others, without the high operational cost and limited scalability of his carpet cleaning business. Joe had become very well known as being the best carpet, and tile cleaner in his market although he wanted to give more of his talents to his community.

In regards to the housing industry, Joe was not new to the construction industry as his late grandfather Joe Peña  started a general construction company that specialized in residential back in the 1960's, it's still in business to this day operated by his uncle Ruben Peña in Seal Beach, Ca. As a boy growing up Joe always seen them busy building away..but never knew his road would lead back to becoming a home inspector. 

Time passed, and growing up Joe didn't have a strong interest in the extensive labor required to perform construction work. During  Joe's growing up stage, he went through many jobs one of them mainly being a concrete ready mix driver that his uncle Eddie Perea welcomed him into. In his late 20's and into his 30's Joe worked many endless hours delivering concrete to the commercial, and residential housing market.

Later Joe decided to take a job advancement offer to promote into a regional sales position for the concrete company he was working for, although Joe at the time was also operating a carpet cleaning business that he started and the time away from his two young children was just more than he was able to sacrifice so he choose to go full time at his carpet cleaning business in order to have more time with his children. For two decades his carpet cleaning business was his sole passion, until one morning in 2021 he had been inspired for some strange reason to investigate what it would take to become a home inspector..

It's currently June of 2026 and that passion is burning like a wildfire.. Joe is fully submerged in constant formal studying a training to become the best home inspector he can be. Joe is now a member of InterNACHI the worlds largest home inspector certification firms, and has reached several certifications from certified roof inspector, certified thermal imaging inspector, mold inspector and currently working on more certifications as each day passes.

By his side is his wife Michelle Torrez who is the silent inspiration and partner in all that he does. It is very common that you will also get to meet her as she loves finding and reporting on defects found in homes.
